After the job was accepted by Anthony Shilling (wherein he said it was a two man job) I contacted him via telephone to make final arrangements. He promptly told me that since I had put in additional items to be moved in the special arrangements section that the job would cost £ 30 more to which I readily agreed to pay. Arrangements were made for him to be at the house to begin moving at 10am. At 11am on moving day there was no driver in sight. At this time we called Mr Shilling only to be told that he was some place about 3-4 hours away. He apologised and said he would be arriving at 2pm instead. Again 2pm arrived and no Mr.Shilling. Another call was made to him and we were told that he is enroute but there is a lot of traffic an hour and a half later I called again to be told that he is a few minutes away. Finally, he arrived at 4pm. He arrived with his wife and children but no helper as advertised. He began to complain again about the original quote. To which I reminded him that we had arrived at an additional price upon his request. He then informed us that he had a sofa for another job in the vehicle and he was not sure that all our stuff could fit in the remaining space. Our stuff did not fit but he agreed to make two trips to get it all done. When we finally got to our new place he unpacked our stuff by the front door and told me that it's only important for the stuff to be offloaded because he still has to go back to collect the rest of our stuff and he has to deliver he sofa to London.At the end of the second trip he was paid the remaining balance on the quote plus the additional £30. Mr. Shilling appears to be disorganised and may be taking on more jobs that he can handle at once without help.

We respectfully refute these comments. I responded numerous times once the bid was accepted only for the phone number supplied via anyvan from the customer to be invalid. Further attempts to respond via email received left unanswered by the customer. Contact only made after anyvan intervention. On arrival at clients address, I explained that my son was not available due to personal circumstances and I had my wife and twins with me as company not as an assistant. Upon entry to the property it was evident there were considerably more items than on the original bid was quoted on. I accept I had another delivery which is normal in our line of work, and that we would do our best to deliver ALL items even if it meant two local trips, Certain items were already boxed, certain items not included in original quote were not prepared, but to my astonishment, two mobile clothes frames totally full of unwrapped not protected clothing belonging to the couple that was too heavy for the frames and collapsed the moment we tried to carefully move them, items of beauty products left in weak plastic storage units unsecured which all decided to fall out once picked up for loading, Finally, the clients 55 inch expensive tv not wrapped or protected. We offered the couple a lift from old to new property to save them taxi fares which they accepted. With respect I may add that it was at the point of the clothing trolley collapse that my wife got involved but only in trying to prevent more clothing falling on to the floor. Upon first arrival we delivered carefully all first trip items. We again alowed one of the clients to return with us again for the remaining items to save taxi fares again.. Once loaded we returned again with the client to the new property. We offer open, honest and transarent quotes but we do not include placing individual items in correct rooms around a house - we collect - we deliver. That's our service and our promise. We do not offer nor quote on locating clients furniture placement personal belongings and other items in our quotes. We always offer to place single item deliveries as close to where required. If my client had wanted or expected a 5* porter home removals company for a zero star price then I can only assume they accepted the wrong bid. We DID however, complete the job, professionally, courteously and completely damage free.
