- | 1 person, London to London | Carolyn687 05/01/2017 |
Hi, I used Sps1066 on Friday 30th December and I have a number of things to mention which I am really not very happy about! 1- He turned up late 2- I had to call him and then he didn't know my address 3- He complained that my floor wasn't the ground floor even though I had put this in my quote 4- I had to bring everything to the ground floor for him as he was too out of breath to do anything 5- He started an argument in the street with the man on the cornershop even though I know him well 6- He then let me get a lift with him to the end location but beforehand was clearing out empty tins of Guinness. At least 10. 7- He didn't know the way and did not have a sat nav 8- He then asked for cash rather than a bank transfer so that he didn't have to pay tax. As you can imagine I was not happy with the service that was given and I am sure no one else would either. I certainly wouldn't be recommending this site to anyone. My mother recommended AnyVan and obviously as the quote was under £100 she didn't get her champagne but in all honesty I think her and I deserve that at the least as the service was completely shoddy! I expect a reply to this ASAP with what actions you are going to take regarding the above. Regards Carolyn Alsop Sps1066 (280) replied: Hi Carolyn, I am somewhat bemused and surprised at the general tone of your ‘feedback’ I was actually on King Street when you called, I was not late, I pulled over to double check the address because the sat nav on my phone told me I had arrived When I stopped to look at the order, it appeared to say flat 256 King Street, which made no sense to me so I ignored the sat nav and headed up King Street looking to my right, which were even numbers, it was at this point that you called me and you saw me heading up the road and I pulled up outside your property. I did check which floor you were on with the order and yes you were correct, which is why I did not at any time seek to renegotiate whatsoever I came upstairs, you showed me what was to be taken, and yes, you did help me but you kindly stated/offered to help, your exact words were “I can help you” I did not start an argument with anyone, Whilst loading up I was approached by a person. whom I have never seen before, asking if I knew who lived upstairs, I told him politely that I did not know After ten minutes I was then approached by a second foreign national who again started asking me a lot of questions about you, i.e. could I tell him who you were and who was moving out, I’ve never seen this man in my life. It turned out that he was a local shopkeeper, which was unbeknown to me and as I stated to you later as we were en route I was concerned that this chap might have been an ex boyfriend or someone whom you did not wish me to divulge any information to. I did agree to let you travel with me, which I am not obliged to do, but agreed as gesture of good faith to allow you to travel with me at no extra cost; I was trying to do you a favour – please check my profile I do not allow customers to travel with me willy nilly, sometimes we have other jobs en route, this is not an exclusive service and at times it may not be practical for customers to travel with us especially on jobs where there is no physical space i.e. I have two ‘porters’ with me Your destination address was on the order, together with the pick up point, how else would I have known where to go in the first place I have not one but two sat navs available to me on two separate phones in the event of one phone running out of ‘battery’ I think I may have asked you for the postcode simply to speed things up and get going as quickly as possible, from memory I think we followed your sat nav instructions on your phone, but we could just as easily have used ONE of my two phones Whilst en route we made polite conversation and I recall having a conversation with you regarding TESLA and driver less cars in the future, which you found somewhat incredulous such that I sent you a text that I had received, which first alerted me to the current work going on to produce a driver less car amongst other technological advances that were in the pipeline We also discussed your job in recruitment (marketing) and the fact that some of the people that you are able to recruit for various marketing projects can command up to £600.00 per day, which astonished me Within that text I also wished you and your partner well and even stated something along the lines of “a great start to the New Year,” I forget, I believe I still have the text in my phone In short, we were civil with each, engaged in convivial conversation and I found you to be a most agreeable person to talk to Hence my surprise at your ‘comments’ which appear to be out of character Regarding payment, it clearly states on my profile that all jobs are to be ‘settled’ immediately we do not accept cheques, BACS, credit cards etc for customers who do not hold accounts with us If you’ll forgive me, I do not know you, I am puzzled as to why you think it would be acceptable for you to make use of the service and pay me at some later date, this not a practice that I have ever entertained in the past, my apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused you I trust that this clarifies the position from my point of view and we can put any misunderstanding to one side, especially in this season of goodwill Carolyn, I would ask that you reflect on the above and respectfully request that you withdraw your “comments” from the website I really do not think it fair for you to affect my livelihood for the sake of £44 Yours sincerely Bret |

- | 2 seater Sofa bed, London to London | Philiphg 22/12/2016 |
You had forgotten the booking so we had to chase. They were HOURS late , heavily disrupting two persons' day and causing huge inconvenience. Sps1066 (280) replied: This job was booked in 86 days ago by someone other than me, I decided to carry out the job at great financial loss, This feedback is unwarranted bearing in mind that we did all we could to resolve the situation by at least carrying out the job despite the obvious 'mixup' which was not of our doing. In short we are based in Ruislip and under no circumstances would I sanction or even entertain any job which entailed leaving Ruislip, driving to Pimlico then over to Battersea (two men) for a paltry £35 Plus the job was on the first floor, which was conveniently omitted from the Job specification The other odd factor is that the job was 'allegedly' booked some ninety (90) days in advance, which is unheard of It simply does not make sense that I would accept a job ninety days in advance, across London, especially when one considers that I had no reason to be in Pimlico I would not take on a job in ninety days time in the hope of securing another in that area, this would be ridiculous I would advise all prospective customers to look at my 'track' record and decide for yourselves We offer a customer focused service and understand that we are here to serve customers and provide the best customer experience possible I would like to wish all our customers a very happy and prosperous New Year |
