We are a family run removal firm. Which has been in haulage for over 130 years. We run two 3.5 tone trucks and a 25 foot removal lorry We also have van for small jobs and delivery's We are insured for goods in transit to £80,000
The deposit that is paid when you book is anyvan fee we do not receive this.We will add this to your final bill.
Payment terms are cash before we move from pickup location
Cheque 14 day's before the move
Bank transfer 3 days before the move.
This is set due to having completed a number of movies and found that the client cannot pay for their move one of which was from Exeter to Glasgow.
We hope you don't take offence to this thanks Paul.
We have from the 1st of July had to add a surcharge for moving extra items that are not listed or where the overall cubic foot is 15% over the amount shown.
This is because we have now had to do a number of jobs where we have had to do up to 2 extra trips and with some over 1000 cubic foot of extra. Content to be moved!! As you will appreciate with the cost of fuel and insurance and staff wages to cover we can't carry the cost of extra trips any longer.
We will continue to provide our customers with a top quality removal. Service at a great price.

Can't praise the two people who moved us highly enough, they were pleasant, very helpful and considerate. It ended up being a difficult move because of parking difficulties at the new address but they worked extra hard to ensure our futnitue was delivered safely even though it meant physically carrying it a long way. Would highly recommend this company. |

The pricing was very competitive which I feel was reflected in the service we received. Our furniture did arrive on the correct day and everything was intact. The lorry used was not large enough to take everything which meant, a lot was taken in our cars and some items were left behind. There were only 2 people to load and unload which led to some issues for us as we were advised there would be 3. The removal van turned up 2 hours later than we were advised. We had paid for a packing service which had not been completed the day before. There were only 2 men and no clothes rail was provided as promised. When asked what would happen with the clothes, they said they would be put on top of everything. we felt we had to help pack these items or they would get filthy in the van, this we did along with other items as time was dragging on.The man who actually packed the van did an excellent job, however, on several occasions this meant the other man was lifting heavy furniture on his own or required my help to do so. Things did not start well when one man walked straight into the house with dirty footwear leaving dirty prints on the carpet, his colleague did then put blankets down. There were several scrapes made on the walls of the property. Once the van was packed, it was clear the doors did not shut properly and were secured with ropes. This did not inspire confidence. This was a long distance move and did I advise several times that the new property was not easy to locate and gave directions which seemed to be ignored. This led to our furniture arriving at past 9:25 pm in the evening. As there were only 2 of them, we felt obliged to help them unpack the van. We finished at midnight. We helped completely with the unload, there was not even a thankyou at the end of it. The service provided was not what we hoped for. Rrb2013 (67) replied: As you would expect we will be responding to this feedback due to a technical problem this is the first opportunity we have had We will break it down point by point 1 Competitive prices you were charged 1150 to move you 700 miles and pack and supply boxes and bubble wrap.This was done without a single breakage or damage whatsoever to your goods it all arrived on time. 2 The size of the lorry is 1450 cubic feet your content was listed at 1190 cubic feet we took all items on the list + 6 very large tree pots with trees and shrubs in avery large wheelbarrow a vast number of extra tools etc etc etc when you booked the move you made it very clear that you had 2 empty cars and we're happy to take some things with you So the lorry was more than large enough to take every thing you had listed sorry but if you what extra moving this would have mentioned a second van and more expense 2There were 3 men on the job they were working in rotation due to the length of the move 3 the van was not late you clearly said that there was no rush as there was no one moving in to the house. 4The packing was started by us the day before over 80% of it was done inthis day WE requested to come down and start the packing a day early to get a head start on the next day.I also spoke to you that evening and you said you were amazing by the amount of packing that had been done so not sure where this compliant is coming from. 5 the straps on the doors.We always strap thedoors on the removal trucks for 2 reason 1 to stop people fiddling with the doors in service station 2 if the truck was involved in an accident it stops the doors opening an depositing your content on the motorway 6 glad you think we did an excellent job of packing up the truck 7if you are paying 3 quarters of the price of say Pikfords removals to move you we would expect you to help if you were able. 8we are running a truck that is limited to 56 miles per hour not a flying carpet we by law have to take a break every 4 hours and come off the road after 12 hours you were kept informed of progress by text or call every time we stopped we had informed you that it may be possible to deliver your goods the same day BUT we did get them to you on the same day. 9 Your direction to your new home were terrible. You gave directions from the A1 when you new we had come the other way up you had no idea where the remote farm was. But we found you by which time we had been working for over 13 hours. 10 we unloaded yes with some help from your self for which we are grateful. 11 you gave Marcus a tip and clearly herd him thank you buy this time it was gone midnight so we may have not been as cordially thankful as normal but we had been working for over 17 hours. 12 having reversed the truck down the farm track we went on our way home using your direction down the A1 and not the way we came up. We were hit by a 44 ton lorry and our truck was written off So from your comments and the accident we are now nolonger doing long distance haulage but will be sticking to short haul moves from now on Regards Paul Mason Rrb2013 |
