Some miscommunication with what was being moved. Originally quoted £164 including two passengers with our belongings. Stewart arrived 2 hours late, and upped the price to £250. We agreed as we had more boxes than we originally thought. We moved the boxes ourselves and Stewart arranged them in the van. We had forgotten to mention we also had a bicycle to move, and the price was then upped to £300 (on top of our £55 deposit). It was too late to refuse at this stage, so we agreed. We were made to pay up front. The journey took 7 hours. During the journey Stewart ran a red light, breaker hard, and we heard a crashing noise from the back of the van. It later transpired that a box containing champagne had been broken (although I never witnessed this myself). When emptying the van, Stewart moved the boxes to just inside the gate, where we did the rest of the manual handling ourselves. He did help carry the piano half way before giving up. No effort was made to reimburse us for the broken box and contents. A couple of days later when unpacking the boxes, I noticed a rip down the side of one of them. A valuable item (a flute) was missing from inside that box. It then took me two weeks of communicating with Stewart (including Stewart being incredibly rude), and several failed attempts to meet up, before I was able to get my flute back. In credit to Stewart, he did deliver my flute himself, although I was charged a further £40 for this luxury! We are still missing a couple of items from the delivery (a towel rail and a guitar tuner), although I have long given up hope that these items will ever be returned. Definitely would not use again.
