Our quote was £240.00. I paid the £80.00 deposit online to secure the job. Day of move the men turned up, one of them said that he would have to charge us an extra £40.00 more for the job, I wasn't happy about this but agreed. Then the man again said that he would need to charge us more money, my husband asked how much but he said he couldn't say until the job was done. My husband said ho w much are we looking at but the man didn't reply. I was ill so I didn't have much to do with the proceedings. Not all our things were taken we still had to make 60 mile round trips to finish our move. My husband worked really hard on the day as a third removal man. At the end of it we were told that we would have to pay an extra £150.00. Considering the job was suited at £240.00 , that was a big jump. There were no wardrobes or cooker, fridge to carry. We paid reluctantly the extra money, I thought we also deducted the £80.00 deposit but the removal man said that payment was the admin fee for Anyvan.com only and so we ended up paying £390.00 fora job that was quoted as £240.00 with the apparent admin fee on top. We won't ever be using these websites again. |
