Very bad experience! Pedro, who initially accepted this job, obviously did not check that we were not flexible with dates. Because he could not make it he arranged a guy named Richard to take over the job. Had twice telephone contact with Richard, last the evening before the moving day. Both times he insisted on starting 8 am sharp. We prepared everything, got several helpers in and started bringing boxes down to the road at 8am. At 8:30 no van in sight. Text to Richard. Answer 9 am: I overslept, will be there in 45 -60 min. 10:15 still no van. next message. Answer: Having problems with the van. Will be there in 1h30 min, move you 100% today. Because we were under time pressure, our helpers could not stay for the rest of the day and RIchard seemed to be absolutely unreliable, we improvised another solution using zipcar, which luckily enough had one van available. |
