Well, I received all my gear, but not with a few headaches and extra costs along the way...The quote I accepted was meant to get my goods from Amsterdam to Hamilton, NZ with just the customs fees on arrival. However, I was accused of 'pulling the wool over his eyes' when I only paid the balance of what AnyVan requests us to pay - because I'd already paid the deposit and he didn't receive it. So I was forced to pay what is ultimately the fee he should pay to use AnyVan, an extra £44 I wasn't expecting. Then during the transit, his communication was good, although at times snappy, but then again on arrival, there was an extra $228NZ that I was asked to pay as this was also NOT included in the quote - little did either of us know (there was a prepaid option that should have been taken by Rapid4U to include in the quote), as well as the extra customs fees on arrival. Then upon opening my belongings, I found all my travel mementos scattered through my boxes, with photos bent and damaged. Pretty disappointed. |
