ready for a long story ... if you ve bought and sold a house at the same time you will understand this was never going to be easy ! Martin promised two vans and four men. One van arrives at 10am and the other 11.30 am. Got a phone called the night before from martin letting me know there was a staffing issue and that he was trying to re arrange the second van .... stress levels are elevated at this point .. On the moving day i got a phone call and Martin was stuck on the M25 and will be 1 hour late ... stress levels elevated a little bit higher ... The second van turned up first ... and was loaded up by Nick and his drivers mate .. who was not introduced to me ... These guys worked very very hard to fill the van .. the second van arrived shortly after and Martin and his drivers mate .. his brother .. joined in the fray ... even though they arrived late the vans were both loaded by 12.05 ... we were supposed to be out by 12.00 noon .... stress levels down a bit .... they left for the new house and i followed ... i asked them not to unload anything till the money came down the chain and i got the keys ... this meant that they waited for 2 and half hours for me to get the keys ... unloading was swift and all the boxes and items were placed in the correct rooms ... the boys showed a good deal of care when loading and unloading and remained cheerfull and patient .. basically they did a really good job and very quickly too ... quite an achievement baring in mind they moved the contens of a three bedroomed house .. the price was very reasonable too considering i had two lorries and four strong men .. overall and dispite the initial problems i would have to say ... BRILLIANT .. and many thanks for helping the day go smoothly .. Thanks again martin and all the best to you and your brother .. regards doug wiggins |
