horrible experience. the night before they tried to change times and vans. They then turn up on the day with one van when i had booked and paid for 2. The woman on the phone was sooooo rude and unhelpful. They did move me & all my items in the end but later than expected (so had to put other people back ie getting keys for new property) and caused alot of unnecessary stress. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND !!!!!!

The team consisted of one helpful guy(a) who spoke to me in English and another guy who did not speak to me in English(b).

On arrival I asked if I could remove the feet from the sofa as I had calculated that would be necessary for it to fit through the door. They declined saying they would remove them later on if necessary.

(b) Unloaded the sofa from the van by himself dumping it vertically onto the pavement and scratching it's feet. They both carried the sofa up the stairs, (b) sounded frustrated and dragged the sofa across concrete stairs at one point. Once they got to the front door, they stood the sofa vertically, scratched the feet some more and offered it up to the door. It went in partially. I asked again if I could remove the feet, they declined and decided to push harder. At one point (b) had his feet on the balcony railings pushing as hard as he could to get the sofa through. This caused damage to the doorway.

Once inside they still refused to remove the feet and caused minor damage to an internal door frame.

I negotiated compensation for the damage to the sofa and my property which has not materialised. I have chased this for a month via email and phone but powerx have consistently failed to get back to me.

They were 5 1/2 hours late! Booked for 11am on a Sunday morning and they did not arrive until 16: 30. I waited in an empty, ready packed house for them for 5 1/2 hours. When I called them they told me that they would be 20 minutes throughout the whole day and were extremly rude when I chased them up.
