terrible service, having accepted their quote and confirmed by phone on the Thursday before the job on the Saturday, they did not turn up for the job leaving us stranded. We tried phoning Mike several times and he made no contact with us. It has left us having to hire a van the next day and move it all with some help from friends . As a result of this we also lost £65 on a train ticket as it was booked for the Sunday but now we need to rent a van instead. Definitely do not use.Very stressful, Not what you need with a toddler and a 10 day old baby. Nightmare. |

I had to pay extra as the storage unit closed at 4pm on Friday. A 70 sq ft Luton van would take 3 trips to fill a 175sq ft unit and a 25sq ft unit. They were delayed due to traffic, which was exactly the same text that I received on Thursday when I reminded them that they were moving me on Friday! After the first trip Mike said that "they could not complete on Friday due to the storage unit closing". Did they check beforehand - obviously not. I had to pay extra to gain access later so they could complete the job. They said that they could only take the sideboard and display cabinet on the last run as the unit was full. I insisted that they could also take the dining table and 4 chairs. They disagreed but did take them. They did fit in. The following day I added two transit van loads to the unit (incl a cross trainer!, numerous boxes a 5ft hi-fi rack full of equipment, 4ft speakers and numerous bin bags and a 3ft stainless steel kitchen rack. The manager from the storage unit warned me after the first trip that they were slow and not utilising the space very well. He see's numerous companies load and unload, so he knows his stuff. We also had 6ft industrial racking, that was ideal for storage, they were not even going to put this up in the unit which had a height of 9ft! You can only stack boxes to a certain level without them collapsing, why would you not use the available racking? They did successfully move 150 sq ft of goods into a 175sq ft unit and there were 3 men. Two men would have moved more, in less time and completed the job. |
