I booked the job and the provider seemed extremely helpful and flexible via an email and a telephone call, but having said he would contact me to arrange a time for pickup today, I have not heard anything since. He does not reply to my emails, and his mobile phone is off. This is especially surprising as he was extremely helpful in answering my questions before I confirmed the bid. It is of course possible that this person is having a personal emergency of some kind, in which case this is unfair, but I am also made suspicious by the fact that the last contact I had with him was when I told him I would prefer to give cash on delivery rather than pickup (as he requested). The gentleman also told me on the phone that he was an independent courier, and the description (updated since I spoke with him) says it is a company with a fleet of couriers. Again, possibly they are a franchise or similar, but unfortunately I have now been left unable to complete the job today as planned, so unfortunately I cannot recommend this provider. |
